Forward Paddle

AN ACCOUNTABILITY COMMUNITY

Accountability. Motivation. And a whole lotta support.

Anyone floating in a river will eventually end up downstream. But when you climb into a boat led by an experienced guide, you gain speed and control. In paddling with your crew’s combined strength, you build a support system that lets you navigate your own path.

I worked as a river guide for over 10 years, and “Forward Paddle” is the command I hollered at my paddle crew to spur them into action. Drawing inspiration from guiding, combined with coaching tools, I created Forward Paddle; a collaborative group designed to give you that extra boost of support by helping you accomplish your goals and provide accountability.

This accountability community meets every other week for one hour to build momentum, troubleshoot what isn’t working, and gain inspiration and insights from each other’s experiences.

Forward Paddle is all about progress, not perfection. We focus on accomplishing small steps that eventually add up to big changes. This community acts as your accountabili-buddies, sounding board, and fellow goal seekers. Together we work through our goals, and together we can accomplish so much more than we could alone.

Join Forward Paddle for three months of accountability, motivation, and support to help you achieve your goals.

“Anyone who wants to accomplish anything should be a part of a group like this.
I have made moves on things (big and small) that I’ve only ever dreamed about and kept my momentum going because of this group. I’ve seen how this group has kept me focused on moving forward and I think everyone should give themselves the opportunity to do the same and be a part of something so special.”

Why FORWARD Paddle?

Are you trying to form new habits, accomplish a goal, or simply finish a project? Does it feel difficult to stay focused and get things done? You are not alone! Whether you are a procrastinator or incredibly organized, this group will help you launch your raft, stay on track and reach your goals.

Together we will break your big goals down into smaller manageable goals so that they become less overwhelming and intimidating. Think of Forward Paddle as a way to reboot your to-do list and focus your mind. Plus, knowing that the next team meeting is just around the corner, ensures that you take action and start accomplishing the things you want to do.

Why is community So important?

The opportunity to connect with others, share an experience, and know that you are not alone in your struggles is invaluable. You may start as strangers but transform into friends, cheerleaders, and “commiserators.” While everyone joins with their own unique goals, we all share threads that connect us and help inspire us into action.

There is power in speaking your goals aloud, even to yourself. In sharing your accomplishments and struggles with strangers, you find yourself phrasing them differently. This act of giving voice to your successes and failures, dream and goals, lets you better understand your wants, and unconsciously guides you towards finding ways to make them possible.

Now imagine what you could gain with constructive and honest feedback from a like-minded community that’s purpose is aimed at the realization of your goals? That what the Forward Paddle Community will do for you.

Success Stories

“This group has helped me maintain my awareness of what’s working/not working and given me a sense of community. I’ve been able to slowly move the needle in the right direction with my goals and habits.

What I like the most about our community is the ability to voice a goal and then have it lovingly challenged by the group. The different perspectives and ideas add depth and dimension to my weekly goals. I have more tools in the toolbox, so to speak, and feel more equipped by having a sounding board and support system.

Another thing I really love about the group is the judgment-free zone and constant reminders from the group to not be so hard on myself and take it one step at a time.”

“Forward Paddle has helped me realize that my goals take constant nurturing and attention to really change habits and increase life/work quality. It’s shown me the power of simply making goals and intentions, and saying them out loud to other people. And in a larger way the power of empathizing with strangers.

I think all of us can use a check-in on what is working and what needs some attention. I think it is powerful to express the things we need help with and to have a kind group of people to provide accountability. You don’t need to have any big issues or goals for FP to be useful, it’s just a time to be real with some good people. “

“This has been an eye-opening experience - I had never been part of a “community” like this. I quickly forgot my apprehension about joining the group and feel I have made a new set of long-distance friends. Each member has been so welcoming and supportive. Their ideas and suggestions have helped me discover what my goals truly are. “
